iPhone Dev Team is the most popular team of iOS developers and they’ve provided us with jailbreak tools since the very beginning of the iPhone phenomenon. Their most popular tool is called Redsnowand it has been used to jailbreak our iDevices for almost two years now. With every iOS version released by Apple, an updated version of Redsnow would have also been released in order to provide the jailbreak support.  The Redsnow jailbreak process is not complicated. First you download and install the tool and then follow the simple step-by-step set of instructions and you’re done. Follow our guide posted here to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered with Redsnow 0.9.12b2 tool. Also you can download the latest Redsnowversion from our Downloads section.

The guys from Chronic Dev Team have become extremely popular January 2012 when they released the untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 5.0.1 called Absinthe 2.0. At that time Absinthe was the only tool which could jailbreak 5.0.1 running on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Currently iOS 5.1.1 can be jailbroken with multiple tools, Absinthe 2.0.4 being one of them. Follow our guide posted here if you want to jailbreak 5.1.1 untethered with Absinthe tool and also head on to our Downloads section to get the latest Absinthe version. However if you rely on a carrier unlock I strongly recommend that you stay away from Absinthe 2.0.4 as it doesn’t provide baseband preservation. Therefore if you are an unlocker then you should use Redsnow or Snowbreeze.

Another worth mentioned development team is called the Evad3rs and they have become extremely popular lately due to their Evasion tool which was the first one to bring an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.0 and  iOS 6.1 on all iDevices. Just when no one thought that any of the barriers of Apple’s iOS will be ever broken again, Evasion came along and now we can happily jailbreak iOS 6.1 on the iPhone 5 and all the other iDevices. It seems like Apple developers work around the clock and have just released another update, iOS 6.1.2. The Evad3rs team seems to keep up the pace with Apple and released Evasion 1.4 that can jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 untethered and also supports all iDevices. You can download Evasion 1.4 from our direct download links available on the site and also follow our complete step by step guide on how to  jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 untethered to get your freedom. You don’t need to be a tech geek or know any technical terms, the guys from Evad3rs team made the jailbreak process  for iOS 6.1.2 so simple that with just a few clicks you will get your precious Cydia icon right on your home-page screen.

Intel, Samsung and TSMC, the world’s greatest chip manufacturers are competing over the Apple supplement with A7 chips for the new iPhone 5S. Moreover, this rumor is consolidated by the long-term battle between the two giants, Apple and Samsung. Now, Apple tries to find its missing puzzle pieces for the incoming iPhone 5S somewhere else. The Korean electronic manufacturer is no longer the first option for the Fruit Company.

A7 Chip for Apple

Apparently, Apple tries to combine three different technologies in developing the well-waited device. Since the processor represents the most important part in building a new device, Apple tries to figure it out a way in which they can get rid completely by Samsung and by the services that this particular manufacturer is offering.

In this respect, it is expected that Samsung will supply 50 percent of the Apple requirements concerning the A7 chip; TSMC will build 40 percent of them while Intel gets the rest of 10 percent.READ MORE

Recently, Apple has been granted a patent for a social network system that has a various number of database-level characteristics to guarantee trustworthy “friend status”, or the manner that users communicate between each other. In other words, Apple’s U.S Patent should not be confused with a full-fledged social network; the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office certified Apple for an extremely efficient method of managing data in a social network service.

13.03.12-Social-2Apple provided a system that can ensure consistency between friend records in a highly-scalable database. Those two ads, released in February, were called ‘Alive’ and ‘Together’, and both of them concentrate on people using their iPads to get things done. Apple keeps the same idea for the iPhone5 TV spots.

Early Apple iPhone Prototype with 5”x7” Display Revealed

By Serban Deea posted Mar 11th 2013 6:32PM

Recently, a former Apple employee revealed the images of the wider iPhone prototype. He suggested the fact that this represents only a project from a wider list of projects established after 2000 within the Fruit Company. The prototype displays 5 inches width and 7 inches height, which suggests more an iPad mini design rather than a former iPhone. In the same time, the device was not slim at all. It showed two inches thickness, which is pretty much if it is compare to the current iPad mini, which is only a quarter of an inch.

Early iPhone Prototype

Moreover, the early iPhone prototype owned a notable number of ports used mostly for computer rather than on mobile devices. These ports included USB ports, Ethernet port and even a serial port. This is pretty uncommon for a portable smart device with the purpose of making phone calls. In what concerns the hardware part, the processor was not that different to the one that was contained by the first iPhone released in 2007. The ARM chip looks like an alternative for the Samsung’s S3C2410.

Apple iMaps Updated for Japan Support Without iOS 6.1.3

By Daniel T. Oyler posted Mar 11th 2013 6:30PM

The highly debatable Apple Maps app was released in September along with the iOS 6. Since then, the service received many criticisms from users over the world complaining about multiple data errors and the absence of transit options. Japan was one of the most debatable locations where Apple Maps failed to offer accurate results. Now, the service received an update mostly designed for Japan, without being included in an iOS release.

Apple Maps in Japan

The new service was designed in order to replace the built-in Google Maps app. However, at the beginning, the Apple Maps app received powerful and sharp criticism especially from those users who were accustomed to the famous Google Maps service. In what concerns Japan, the country is known to be pretty hard to navigate through because most streets do not own personal names and houses are not properly numbered.

At the beginning of this year, Apple released the first beta version of iOS 6.1.1 for developer use, which was meant to offer some notable improvements to the Maps app for Japan area, in particular. Since then, Apple continued to offer minor bug fixes and enhancements in what concerns their service and the vast marketplace that is represented by Japan. However, the new iOS released and namely the iOS 6.1.2, did not contain anything substantial related to the mapping service.
